Air Force One photo op inadvertent metaphor for Obama/liberal agenda

No one is questioning the fact that the April 27, 2009 Manhattan flyover by Air Force One for the sole reason of obtaining a public relations photo immediately became a public relations nightmare. What very few, if any in the mainstream media are questioning is the rationale and lack of common sense by this administration for even contemplating such a thing.

I find it very hard to believe that only one man knew about and orchestrated this event. One would think the ever-capable and politically shrewd presidential Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel would have seen this coming, and again I find it very hard to believe he was not privy to this event. In my mind and the minds of many others the only thought plausible enough was that this administration’s connection to common sense is mitigated by both its ego and political bravado. This isn’t the main reason for writing this blog article, although it does carry significant weight.

I just saw the actual photo this morning of the flyover photo op and the very first thing that came to mind was the mental imagery of the president’s plane being positioned directly above the Statue of Liberty. Now I am very well aware of the necessity of altitude in regards to averting collisions with the protruding New York skyline, but I could not help but notice the connection between the sizes of the president’s plane in regards to the Statue of Liberty, dwarfing it in fact. I could also not help but notice the uncanny similarity to the acts of this president in his first 100 days and how they too dwarf our liberties and freedoms we have come to cherish.

From the issuing of his first executive order to close GITMO with no plan in place and then to release the enhanced interrogation memos and photos he has infringed on and overshadowed our right to a safe and secure America. His release of the memos was in direct violation of the advice given to him by his own CIA director and that of 4 prior directors. There was no plausible reason for the release of these items other than political payback to the BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) lynch mob that helped elect him.

He and his Homeland Security director Janet Napolitano are taking away our freedom of speech and right to assemble by asserting that if we are against abortion, cite the constitution as our directing document, are a returning veteran that does not agree with the current administration, oppose illegal immigration, or disagree with his agenda to assert government control in our lives in general to a greater degree that we are domestic terrorists.

In his vocal and activist support of abortion rights this president has taken away the right to life of the viable unborn. His support of FOCA and willingness to sign such legislation even further guarantees the right to abortions and asserts the non-right of parents to intervene in the case of their minor child seeking to get an abortion. When the schools cannot give Tylenol to our children without our permission where does common sense state that it’s okay to submit our children to dangerous surgical procedures and end the life of a human being without our consent?

This administration and congress has asserted itself into the controlling of businesses that have received bailout money, and also are pushing for the ability to take over any company that they deem insolvent of unfit. This sounds a lot like the recent abuse of eminent domain laws and could even further increase the control that the government already has in regards to our businesses.

We have seen this administration fly in the face of corporate bankruptcy law by prearranging deals with both GM and Chrysler so that unions have a majority shareholding in these companies. Instead of forcing the unions to the bargaining table and negotiating a fair deal for all, this administration takes steps to not only safeguard the union stranglehold, but also increase it.

This is only the beginning America. We need to stand up, assemble, and peaceably protest this administration and congress’ continued brash behavior to further a liberal political agenda that has been in the works for the last five decades. Write your editor, write all your elected officials, talk to you neighbors, weigh in at public forums and attend every public conservative demonstration before this liberal agenda to “remake America” comes to pass.

Don’t let the egotistical agenda of Obama and the Congress continue to overshadow and dwarf our freedoms.
