After listening to prevaricating and fact-dodging Democratic Representative from Massachusetts Barney Frank blaming everyone but extra-terrestrials for the failure of Fannie and Freddie and that their collective failure played no part whatsoever in catalyzing the financial sector failure at the heart of the current recession, it was a welcome departure from the typical Democratic side-stepping to hear Geithner admit that “Fannie and Freddie were a core part of what went wrong in our system.” in hearings on the hill where he was hoping to garner support for sweeping financial regulations.
He went on to say that due to other more pressing issues, they just didn't have time to present additional regulations of Fannie and Freddie, that's were the welcome departure "departed."
Now is the time to sign the petition to investigate Frank, Waters and Dodd for their willful obstruction of oversight into Fannie and Freddie.
